Established in 1997 by founders Mildred Yong and Rachel Yong, MILCHEL International Students’ Hostel began as a humble initiative operating from a few scattered three-room flats. With a heartfelt vision to create a nurturing home away from home, our founders dedicated themselves to providing more than just accommodation. They aimed to offer care, character development, and academic support to international students in Singapore.

The journey was filled with challenges, but the reward has been immeasurable. Witnessing our students grow into responsible, confident, and accomplished young adults remains our greatest joy. Over the years, MILCHEL has blossomed into a well-established and respected boarding home, offering a safe, supportive, and enriching environment where students can thrive.
